How do we address loneliness?

Breaking down taboos, strengthening networks, and working across the different sectors. These are just a few policy recommendations by the Odisee University of Applied Sciences after conducting a practical survey into how we can better address loneliness and isolation in Brussels.

The results of the survey were presented at a study day. And so was the ‘Resokit’: concrete methods for a professional approach to countering loneliness and isolation.

Inge Verhaegen, Odisee project staff member says: “We want to share our knowledge, offer our methodology and instruments as we are now doing with the Resokit. The VGC also facilitates bringing different parties together, inventorying good practices and developing an explicit policy. In this way, we are building a city with connectedness.”
