Tess is 8 years old and lives in Vorst/Forest. She goes to school in the municipal primary school De Wereldbrug. During the spring lockdown, she could not go to school. But she took part in “Brussels helps” and drew pictures for the residents of the Nuance care home in Vorst/Forest.
‘My mom told me about “Brussels helps” and I made two drawings’, Tess tells us. ‘The drawings were for people I don't actually know, and who live in the care home across the street from our apartment.
I don’t exactly know who received my drawings. But my mom received an email from “Brussels helps”. It said that we could drop off the drawings in the care home’s mailbox. We saw drawings hanging in the window of the 4th floor, so we think that is where they ended up. And I hope that they put a smile on the faces of the grannies and grandpas.’
